Resumen: Practical sampled-data control strategies for continuous-time nonlinear systems often faces the problem of determining an appropriate discrete-time model. In general this is not possible and thus approximate models for control design are used. Conditions that ensure practical stability of the exact discrete-time model for all sufficiently small sampling periods based on the stability of the approximate model exist in the literature. In this paper we present an extension of some of these stability results to cases where sampling is not necessarily uniform. We provide a result that ensures the practical stability under the varying sampling rate scenario of the (possibly unknown) exact discrete-time model based on the stability of the approximate model and on some specific bound on the mismatch between the models.
