Resumen: This paper presents the development and ongoing deployment of an experimental lab-scale benchmark intended for the study of sizing, energy management and control problems in electric micro smart grids. The grid is hybrid in many senses. Namely, it has been conceived with different types of power lines, power sources and storage devices: it includes a 300V DC bus and a 3x380V, 50Hz AC line for power distribution; photovoltaic panels and (emulated) wind generation units for power generation; and electrochemical batteries, a flywheel-based device and supercapacitors for energy storage. The complete structure of the grid is presented, along with a detailed description of both existing subsystems and those still in the process of implementation. Finally, some experimental results are shown illustrating the performance of currently available modules.
