Resumen: In this paper, several state-of-the-art nonlinear identification methods are compared on a benchmark pH neutralization process. Methods based on orthonormal bases for block oriented nonlinear models, as well as methods based on support vector regression techniques are considered. The advantages and drawbacks of the different methods, and the properties of the estimated models are analyzed.
