About me
I was born in Rosario, Argentina, in 1970. I received the Degree in physics, and the Ph.D. degree, also in physics, in 1997 and 2003, respectively, both from Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR), Rosario, Argentina. I was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Istituto Agrario San Michele all’Addige, Trento, Italy. Since 2006, I have been a full-time Researcher at CONICET. I lead the Machine Learning and Applications Group at CIFASIS. Currently, I'm Director of CIFASIS.
Main Research interests
Most of my work is in the area of machine learning and its application to diverse technological problems. My interests include ensembles, feature selection, clustering algorithms and deep learning, with applications to machine vision, bioinformatics, agroinformatics and chemoinformatics.
